Custom Benchmarks
Updating benchmarks for specific employees beyond the default.
Standard Benchmarks
Benchmarks define the expected competency level for a skill within a given role or group, and can be configured optionally by administrators. Skills gaps are indicated with a red grading icon, and are calculated by comparing assessed grades versus the applicable benchmark.
Custom Benchmarks
Managers can also create Custom Benchmarks for specific employee users, which will override the default benchmark for that employee. Mangers can set custom benchmarks in two ways within SkillsDB:
From Team Views
When viewing an employee skills profile from the My Team area within SkillsDB, select the icon in the Benchmark column for relevant skill.
This will open a benchmark dialog where you can set or change the benchmark, or to choose to restore the default benchmark for this user.
From Manager Assessments
Managers can also set and update custom benchmarks within their manager assessment flow for a given employee.
Custom benchmarks set via the assessment flow will only take effect once the manager assessment has been submitted. This includes displaying on employee profile pages and in reporting.
