Quick Summary: Sort with sort=field (ascending) or sort=-field (descending), comma-separated for multiple keys. Sortable fields are whitelisted per endpoint.
A field outside the endpoint whitelist returns a 400 with code not_sortable. Endpoints with a natural order — a career’s levels, sections and skills follow their configured positions, and the activity feeds are newest-first — do not take sort, and sending it there returns a 400 like any other unknown parameter. The reference lists sort only on the endpoints that accept it.
