This article shows how administrators can add a new skill category, used to group together a set of related skills or qualifications
For example, Language is the category for skills such as English or Spanish.
Note: This article assumes you are already in the Skill Categories interface of SkillsDB - Admin > Skills Setup > Skills List.
To add a skill category:
- Click on “Add a new category”
- Enter the category name and subcategories if necessary.

- Click on Update to save the newly created Skill category
- You can then start adding Skills to this Skill Category
